Android Music Path Fix!

Currently, the Android Music player searches the entire SD card for all playable files. When a user chooses to shuffle all songs, sometimes application sound files are included in the shuffle.

This results in a situation where a user might be listening to a track, then suddenly, “Turn left in 3 miles” (or some other inappropriate sound file) plays.

If, like me you only want to listen to the MP3 files that you have actually put into your ‘Music’ folder, then here is the solution.

Simple!

Place a ‘.nomedia‘ (Right Click, Save As) file into the folders you do not want to be included in the music player.

Restart the phone, then you should only have the music files that you want to listen to in your player!

Works for all Android devices, G1, G2, MyTouch, Hero, Dream, Magic, Sapphire etc.

Decent music player with eye candy?

Now, the G1 is a powerful device …… and I hate to compare with the likes of the iPhone ……… BUT

When are we going to get a music player that comes with all the eye candy the iPod gets? Can we ever haves scrolling album covers, and the nice menu’s and themes the iPhone offers?

Will someone ever make such an app …. or are we going to have to develop one of our own here at metserve.com ?

What does everyone think about that?

Tunewiki 0.93 for Android?

For those who use aTrackDog to check for app updates, does it inform you there is an update for Tunewiki?

Installed : 0.91
New : 0.93

I have searched high and low and can’t find anything on this app!

Can someone enlighten me?
