BT now has a million wi-fi hotspots

BT has announced that it now has a network of a million wi-fi hotspots across the UK and Ireland.
It reckons this is the most expansive wi-fi network in the country, and it has grown considerably in the last six months.
Just half a year ago, BT had 500,000 hotspots on its roster, so the company has managed to double that figure since.
These hotspots reportedly consist of 860,000 home hubs, 137,000 business hubs, and some 3,000 actual Openzone installations (in the likes of hotels and coffee shops).
BT hasn’t said where the millionth hotspot is located, and not just because no one really cares. In fact, you might do, when you hear that BT are running a competition to find it.
Apparently the competition will begin on Thursday, and details will be announced on the Openzone Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/btopenzone).
